Originally published in hardback format in 2009, it has now been reformatted in the Kindle format for viewing on any Kindle device or via the Kindle Reader app. However, this e-book edition does not contain the page notes and index which can be found in the paper edition.

If your device is not a Kindle

How to install the e-book on your Kindle device
Connect your device to a PC or laptop using a USB cable. Using File Manager on the PC, navigate through the folders on your Kindle device and copy the downloaded MOBI file to the DOCUMENTS folder shown below.

Calibre

If you’re unfamiliar with negotiating the files and folders on your reading device, you can use the free calibre software to add or remove e-books on your reader. The calibre program for Windows, is a powerful e-book manager that is available for download at no charge. It is capable of automatically recognising many tablets and other readers when connected via USB.

Once you have installed calibre, connect your device to the PC using a USB cable. Start calibre and it should recognise your device. Click on the small down arrow beside the DEVICE icon at the top of the calibre window. Select CONFIGURE THIS DEVICE and adjust the final option to instruct calibre to send MOBI files to the appropriate folder.
